Who I am
I’m an entrepreneurial, early-career communications professional with media experience across multiple platforms. The common thread in my work is my interest in telling stories —whether that’s through writing, digital marketing, or audio production.
My interest in marketing began during my time as an undergraduate student working as a Communications Intern for WNRN-FM, an independent music radio station funded by members. There, I worked under the Events & Promotions Manager, learning hands-on skills in digital and in-person marketing.
My duties included updating the website weekly via WordPress, editing audio for radio-play, scheduling and editing newsletters and marketing emails, and engaging potential and current members of the station at live music events to ensure their continued support. I also managed the reception of press kits sent to the station, giving me behind-the-scenes exposure into how artists and managers market releases.
As a Media Studies graduate from UVA with four years of experience in student radio, I have a strong journalism and audio-editing background. I produced podcasts for several courses, completing an Intensive Journalism Capstone course in my final year. That fall, I also undertook an independent study in music production with a Sound Design professor who took notice of my skillset.
Through these experiences, I’ve gained a deep understanding of audio engineering, marketing, and storytelling, with proficiency in applications like Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, iMovie, and Edits. I bring these skills with me into content creation; I know how to angle a story to create compelling content, whether that’s for Original Maine, Maine Flag Co, or my music brand.
